Vinyl Siding

Description: One of the most popular and affordable siding materials.

It is available in a wide range of colors and styles and is known for its low maintenance.

Cost: $2 to $7 per square foot (depends on quality, thickness, and style).

Pros: Low cost, variety of colors, easy to maintain.

Cons: Can crack or fade over time.

 

 

 

Wood Siding (Cedar, Pine, etc.)

Description: Traditional and highly customizable,

wood siding offers a natural look with various finishes, including staining or painting.

Cost: $5 to $15 per square foot.

Pros: Classic look, excellent insulation.

Cons: Higher maintenance (requires sealing or painting), can be prone to rot or insect damage.

 

 

 

 

Brick Siding

Description: Brick siding is a durable, fire-resistant exterior cladding made from fired clay.

Typically installed as a veneer, it offers a classic look and long lifespan with minimal maintenance.

Cons :High upfront cost, Labor-intensive installation,

Can retain moisture if not sealed

Heavy, may need extra structural support

Pros: Extremely durable (100+ years), Low maintenance & pest-resistant,

Energy-efficient & weather-resistant, Fireproof & enhances property value

Cost: Material: $6 – $15

Installation: $10 – $20

Total: $16 – $35

 

 

 

Brick Veneer Siding

Description: A thin layer of brick applied to the exterior,

often over a wooden or concrete structure.

Provides the classic brick look without the full weight and cost.

Cost: $6 to $12 per square foot.

Pros: Low maintenance, long-lasting, fire-resistant.

Cons: Higher initial cost, more difficult to repair.

 

 

 

 

Stone Veneer Siding

Description: A thin layer of natural or manufactured stone applied to a home’s exterior.

Provides the upscale look of stone at a lower cost and weight.

Cost: $7 to $15 per square foot.

Pros: High-end appearance, durable, low maintenance.

Cons: Expensive, installation can be labor-intensive.

 

 

 

Stucco Siding

Description: A plaster-like finish applied in layers over a mesh base.

Common in Mediterranean, Spanish, and Southwestern architectural styles.

Cost: $6 to $9 per square foot.

Pros: Durable, excellent insulation, versatile in design.

Cons: Requires skilled labor for installation,

can crack in extreme weather conditions, capture moisture easily.

 

 

 

Metal (Aluminum, Steal) Siding

Description: A sleek, modern look that is resistant to fire and insects.

Aluminum was popular historically, but steel is often used more now for its added strength.

Cost: $3 to $7 per square foot.

Pros: Low maintenance, durable, fire-resistant.

Cons: Can dent or scratch, limited color options.

Description: Made from a mixture of wood fibers and resin,

composite siding provides the appearance of wood but is more durable and low maintenance.

Pros: Durable, low maintenance, energy-efficient.
